About US

Farming is our anchor; we understand the soil and what it takes to grow a healthy crop in the fields. When we were raising chickens, we produced the feed, managed every step of the birds’ health, thereby ensuring a quality meat product. We processed the birds, sold them, and delivered them to an evergrowing client list. 

Our niche, as it turned out, was and is the family farm. Imagine if you had total control of the process; from seed, to how you cultivate the land, to how you prepare the feed, to how you raise the birds. What could you achieve? Now imagine, as a family, you not only have the farm, the equipment, but the expertise too, you would have a unique biosphere.

What makes us unique is our differences

Yvan Desautels is the anchor of the company who manages the sales, production with Jean-Luc, the finances and ensures the health of the family business.

Jean-Luc Desautels is the charismatic face of the organization. He handles the production with Yvan, sales, the Government inspections and paperwork for Desautels Foods.

Dominic Desautels, as he puts it, was born to farm, it’s in his blood. He manages the fields, maintains the equipment, and looks after the birds.

All three brothers work together in unison, they know how to butcher and process meat, each can step in when required. When it comes to business decisions that affect the company, all three brothers must agree.
